AND, if you work up a thirst or an appetite on the hike, join us for cold one and/or lunch at Dru Bru Tap Room (10 Pass Life Way #3 in Snoqualmie Pass)

Frequently asked questions

If it's truly "FREE", why do I need to buy a ticket for $0.00?

It's for the organizers to know how many hikers to count on and to make sure we don't leave without someone. We will also want to get a head count on the way back. There's no charge, but we can serve you much better with an accurate headcount. So please "Buy" a free ticket.

Do I need to bring lunch?

No, a water bottle is always recommended but we'll be gathering at Dru Bru afterwards to get refreshed and maybe a burger.

Since it's a waterfall can I drink the water

NOT RECOMMENDED. Giardia is a real hazard, so bring your refillable water bottles full of water. 12 oz will probably be fine, but Carry as much as you are comfortable, someone else might need a sip or two.

Do I have to wear hiking attire?

No, you can wear a bikini if you're comfortable, but good sturdy shoes are always the right choice. Hiking shoes/boots are the best. We don't want anyone rolling an ankle. As to shirts, pants/shorts etc, the old mantra, "dress in layers" holds true

Why so early?

Franklin Falls is a very popular hike and we'd like to be on the trail early since we're a big group. We'll be back before the big rush and we can make our way to more fun afterwards.

Can I bring my dog?

Franklin Falls is a Dog Friendly hike. Yes, you can bring your canine hiking partner but they must remain on leash the entire time and you will be expected to pack out everything they..., well if you have a dog, you know what I mean.

Is a group picture going to happen?

Yes, we'll do our best to get some fun casuals with our phones, and can even upload them to our reunion Instagram site. When we reach the falls there is a large gravel area, (if most of the snowmelt has already passed) and we'll gather for a group shot.

Is the hike doable if my mobility is challenged a bit?

This hike is easy but has roots, steps with no handrails, and very uneven terrain. Our friends with challenges may want to meet up at the trailhead or wait and hang out at Dru Bru taproom at the Summit when we get back from the falls.

Is this a difficult hike?

No, it's a very nice hike, it is categorized as "EASY" in All Trails. It has 344 ft of elevation change and the way back is downhill!
