Bad Gal Film Club is proud to present a very special preview screening of TOPOS, a new experimental short film by Issabella Orlando that blends poetry and moving image to explore ancestry, identity, and landscape.
A deeply personal and visually rich exploration of heritage, memory, belonging, and their ties to landscape, this six-minute poetic documentary takes viewers on a meditative voyage through the Mediterranean’s ancestral landscapes, where a memory of the past echoes through the present.
Shot amidst the rolling hills and rugged coastlines of Calabria in south Italy, and the winding roads of the Greek island of Crete, TOPOS transcends borders to examine the layered connections between place and people. Lyrical narration and evocative imagery prompt audiences to reflect on their own ancestral ties and relationships with homelands.
This screening is followed by a Q&A with Issabella Orlando and Mia from BGFC.
