Tools You Need

The Los Angeles Creative Pro User Group, (formerly lafcpug) was established in June of 2000 and now boasts a total membership of over 6000 people worldwide. lacpug meets once a month in Hollywood, Ca. where it attracts 200-250 people a meeting. Headed up by Michael Horton, lacpug is the largest Creative Pro User Group in the world.

In this presentation, Jason will introduce you to <A HREF="https://www.colorgradingcentral.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Color Grading Central's</A> brand new plug-in, CinemaGrade. By walking you step-by-step through the workflow on an actual timeline, Jason will illustrate why CinemaGrade is radically different from most other color tools available on the market and what that means for you, as professionals filmmakers and storytellers. He will discuss strategies for color balancing, shot matching, and look management, all without relying on traditional color tools like curves and color wheels.

Jason’s color and finishing work spans the gamut from traditional commercial projects for clients such as Adobe, LensCrafters, and Google, independent short and feature films bound for festivals, all the way to experimental new mediums such as immersive VR. He is the lead post production engineer for the broadcast network The Africa Channel, a Blackmagic Design certified trainer, and a full member of the Colorist Society International.  8:20PM - 8:30PM - Announcements This is your time, assuming we have time.
