Scientists tell us, as does extreme weather, that we need to do more to address the climate crisis. Our communities need clean air and drinking water; environmental education should be based in fact not fiction; and we need more clean energy and green jobs … like yesterday. We need solutions, and that means us (and by extension all that live here) finding ways to save our home planet.
For anyone who wants to be a force for “good trouble,” Patagonia has a guide to inspire and mobilize you. A compilation of best strategies by over 50 climate activists, conservationists, and sustainability leaders, Tools to Save Our Home Planet is a powerful toolkit for the movement, shaped by voices on the frontlines. Learn through the journey of change makers who successfully undammed the Klamath River, organized 16 Montana youth to fight for their right to a clean and healthy environment to rewilding Argentina.
On April 28, we invite you to join a discussion with Patagonia, Spitfire Strategies, Hip Hop Caucus, the George Washington University (GW) School of Media and Public Affairs, and Planet Forward about how this guide and leaders in the field can inspire us to do our part — and do it well — to get these environmental challenges under control. It’s true that we are the ones we’ve been waiting for, and it’s go time!
WHAT: Expert panel discussion and audience Q&A moderated by GW student, Andrea Pedemonte, featuring:
