Tools for Peace: Forest Bathing
Join certified Nature and Forest Therapy guide Anisa George for a guided forest bathing session on the Nakashima Campus.
Forest Therapy, also known as “Shinrin-Yoku,” refers to the practice of spending time in forested areas for the purpose of enhancing health, happiness, and a sense of awe. The Japanese words translate into English as “Forest Bathing” and refer to bathing in the beneficial compounds which trees emit, such as oxygen and phytoncides.
Certified Nature and Forest Therapy guide Anisa George will lead a guided forest bathing session on the grounds of the Nakashima Woodworkers campus, followed by a foraged tea ceremony at the end.
This is an outdoor event that includes light hiking on uneven ground and small hills. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
This event is made possible with support from Visit Bucks County.
