Toolkit workshop @ NIVAL
Join us for an afternoon workshop to talk through the steps of self-documentation and how to best use the toolkit to build your own archive.
The National Irish Visual Arts Library (NIVAL) collects, stores and makes accessible for research an unparalleled collection of material about Irish art in all media. An initiative of NCAD in partnership with the Arts Council of Ireland, since 1997 NIVAL has become the foremost centre for the documentation of contemporary art and design in Ireland.
NIVAL's new Toolkit for Artists' Archiving is available to download for free and is full of practical steps and prompts to help artists of any level of experience or background to gather and organise their own documentation at home or in the studio.
This workshop will take place in person in NIVAL's Reading Room. For information on directions and accessibility, please visit NIVAL's website or email nivalinfo@ncad.ie.
