Jason Allen King is a comedian, writer, actor, filmmaker, and bird watcher from
Charlotte, NC. Exploiting his own peculiar personal experiences, family, and
relationships (or lack thereof), King’s comedy offers a unique perspective on familiar
situations. A northerner who’s been living in the south too long, he has endeared
himself to audiences across the country pushing boundaries through a positive and
sharp spin on observations and self-deprecation. Doesn’t that sound hilarious?
Fresh off the taping of his Dry Bar Comedy Special and a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic,
King is back touring the country. He has opened for renowned comedians like Josh
Blue, Preacher Lawson, Fortune Feimster, Rob Schneider, Christopher Titus, Colin
Quinn, and Dave Attell.
He was voted Best Charlotte Comedian 2021 by Queen City Nerve, Charlotte’s Favorite
Comedian by Elevate Lifestyle Magazine, featured in It’s A Southern Thing’s One of 15
Southern Comics to Watch and Best of the Fest at the Burbank Comedy Festival.
Jason Allen King is the host of The Comedy Zone Podcast. He also writes and stars in
the popular video series “George & Monty,” which was invited to screen at the L.A.
Comedy Shorts Festival.
Burpie is known for his high energy fast paced style of comedy. His jokes his
sarcastic real-life stories keep crowds engaged and laughing while he’s performing.
While he never thought about doing stand-up comedy, Burpie was told by a woman
he worked with that he should try it because she thought he was hilarious which
jump started his career. The first time he hit the stage he got a standing ovation and
since then he’s been on tour with the likes of Capone Lee, Ms. Pat, Cipha Sounds, &
Nene Leakes to name a few. He was a finalist in Kevin Hart’s Miller Lite comedy
search & a semifinalist in the bay area black comedy competition. Since starting
stand up he has become a cast member on Nick Cannon presents Wild n Out,
MTV’s Joking Off, and Worldstar tv. “The Tragedy is not death but life without purpose”

Our comedy at Bolts and Brews is like a rollercoaster of laughter, but with a few loops and twists that might not be suitable for our younger friends. So, while kids are welcome, we highly recommend leaving them with a trusted sitter and letting the grown-ups have a night of giggles and guffaws.
Arrive early and carpool to ensure a spot in our spacious parking lot! It might get busy, but with a bit of planning, you'll be laughing your way to a prime parking spot!
While your pet would be the star of any comedy night, we're afraid they might not appreciate the jokes as much as you do. So, it's best to leave them at home and let them enjoy a quiet night in.
Absolutely! The dress code is simple: wear whatever makes you feel comfy enough to laugh until your sides hurt. Whether it's jeans and a t-shirt or your fanciest party attire, just come as you are and get ready to chuckle!
Absolutely! We've got you covered with a delicious array of snacks to keep your belly as happy as your funny bone. Food trucks will be on site as well.
Raindrops won't dampen our spirits! If the weather decides to join the comedy lineup, fear not! We'll either reschedule the show or move it to our cozy greenhouse. Rest assured, we'll make a call and notify ticket holders well in advance, so you can keep the laughter rolling, rain or shine!
