[CELEBRATING PRIDE MONTH]

Authors and pop culture bloggers Tom Fitzgerald and Lorenzo Marquez will give a talk and answer audience questions about how RuPaul’s Drag Race pulls from and pays homage to dozens of LGBTQ cultural traditions and figures going back over a hundred years, with a reading from their best-selling book Legendary Children: The First Decade of RuPaul’s Drag and the Last Century of Queer Life. Learn about the origins of everything from shade and lip syncs to the Pit Crew and Snatch Game and the legendary figures who created art and culture under intense oppression.
