To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

"Larger than life is just the right size!" -- Noxeema Jackson

Rainbow Cult and the Historic Elitch Theatre invite you to the inaugural year of Pride Day at the Historic Elitch Theatre. This year's theme is The Red & Wild Festival because we'll be showing To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar!

(In 1968 Julie Newmar performed at the Historic Elitch Theatre!)

Join us for a day filled with celebration, community, and fun at the iconic Historic Elitch Theatre -- Denver's oldest cultural venue.

Get ready to experience a vibrant showcase of performances, music, arts, and more. Come dressed in your boldest red and wildest attire to show off your pride and support for the LGBTQ+ community. This event promises to be a colorful and unforgettable experience. Don't miss out on this opportunity to come together and celebrate love, community, and diversity!

The Festival is free, but the evening entertainment inside the theatre is a ticketed event. Tickets are $20 ($15 for the Pre-Film show and after-party, $4 for the film, and $1 donation to a local LGBTQ+ charity.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: The event is NOT at Elitch Gardens amusement park -- it is at the original location of Elitch Gardens in the Highlands at West 38th Avenue and Tennyson. The Historic Elitch Theatre is at the original 1890s location of the gardens.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay to attend the daytime festival?

No! Please join us for this FREE community festival! We'll have entertainment and vendors and food and drinks. The evening entertainment in the theatre is a ticketed event, but the Festival is free and open to everyone!

Do I need a ticket to attend?

The daytime outdoor festival is free, but you will need a ticket to enter the theatre for the evening's entertainment. That evening, we have a wonderful show planed, then we'll watch the film, and we'll wrap up with an after-party. Space in the theatre is limited, so tickets are required.

Can anyone attend?

YES! We're celebrating our LGBTQ+ community's Pride, but our amazing allies are absolutely part of our community and we hope you'll join us. To Wong Foo, the film in the evening, is PG-13, but the free festival is open to all and attendees of all ages and orientations are encouraged to join us!

What is included in my ticket purchase?

While the outdoor festival is free, all of the evening's events are in the theatre and a ticket is required to enter. Your ticket gets you in the door to the theatre -- you'll be there for the Pre-Film show, the film, plus the after-party!

Where is the event?

So glad you asked -- it is NOT at Elitch Gardens! DO NOT go to the amusement park! The event is at the original location of Elitch Gardens in the Highlands at West 38th Avenue and Tennyson. (Did you know the original Elitch Gardens was in northwest Denver?) GPS: 4600 W 37th Place, Denver, CO 80212.
