The Trauma Nursing Core Course™ (TNCC®) is a one day course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association® to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. The goal of the TNCC instructor course is to prepare nurses to effectively teach the TNCC provider course. The instructor course is open to current TNCC Providers who were recognized as having instructor potential during their provider course. After the instructor course, instructor candidates must be monitored teaching within 12 months to become a TNCC instructor.

Pre-Requisites: Participants must be an RN. They must have been identified as having instructor potential during their provider course. Additional pre-testing and/or course observation might be necessary depending on the date and edition of the provider course. Participants must also have identified a course director who will support them through the monitoring process. Pre-course preparation includes completing the online modules, studying the 9th Edition TNCC Provider manual, and being ready to teach assigned course components.

This 9th edition TNCC instructor course has been approved for 6 contact hours with an additional 1.25 for Facilitating Adult Learning course pre-learning.


REGISTRATION, CANCELATION, & REFUND POLICY

Course space is limited. Registration is due a minimum of 30 days prior to class in order to receive course materials by mail and to complete online learning requirements.

Cancellations must be received at least 2 weeks prior to the course date. There will be a $50 cancellation fee for all cancellation requests occurring at least three weeks prior to the course date. There will be a $150 charge for cancellations received less than three weeks prior to the course date. A $50 transfer fee will be charged for changing dates. Course day no-show registrants will forfeit the entire registration fee. All class materials must be returned no later than one week post course in order for any refunds to be processed.
