About This Event

Welcome to TN Maker Fest! On Saturday, September 26, 2026, The Wond’ry at Vanderbilt University will transform into a massive hub of creativity and innovation.

Operating on our unique "Zero-Fee Sustainability Model," this festival is 100% FREE for the public to attend. We are bringing together engineers, artists, scientists, and crafters to showcase a wide variety of projects, blending traditional STEM fields with industrial trades and the arts.

Whether you are a seasoned engineer, a student experimenter, or a family looking for a fun weekend activity, there is something here for you to discover!

What to Expect

Explore over 60 interactive, "minds-on" exhibits divided into specialized zones:

• The Clean Zone: Dive into the future with interactive robotics areas, 3D printing labs, virtual reality exploration, block coding, and fiber arts.
• Hands-On Zone: Learn how pendulums work, how jewelry and robots are made, or grab some tools and learn how to pick a lock or make music! Kids and adults alike can explore how things work.
• Crafting Zone: Create cardboard rockets, design your own puppet, make some jewelry, or even some marble art.

Fun for Every Age

This is a family-friendly, multi-generational event! We feature hands-on activities tailored for everyone:

• Pre-K (Ages 3-5): Sensory tables, magnetic tiles, and raw textiles.
• Kids & Teens: Snap circuits, guided soldering, lockpicking mechanics, and Lego/VEX robotics challenges.
• Adults & College: Data visualization workshops, advanced security lockpicking, and industry showcases.

Important Details

• Cost: Free! (No admission or hidden fees). Some makers will have handmade items for sale.
• Parking: Free parking is available in the 25th Avenue Garage (spaces 372 and up)
• Food: There are drink machines on-site, local restaurants within walking distance, and Food trucks in Centennial Park.
• Rain or Shine: The event will take place regardless of the weather.
