Description

Many thanks to the Parks & People Foundation for hosting

                                                  Fall 2016 Baltimore TreeKeepers Classes!

TK202 Advanced Tree Pruning for Certification teaches basic feet-on-the ground pruning techniques for young trees to help them develop strong and healthy branching structure.  You will learn various types of pruning, how trees respond to pruning, and making proper cuts.  This class includes an outdoor hands-on tree pruning demonstration – so please dress accordingly!

TK202 Advanced Tree Pruning for Certification is required to become a Certified TreeKeepers Pruning Expert.  Certification requirements also include helping at two tree pruning events held by TreeKeepers nonprofit partners.

Be a part of something greater than yourself.  Our city trees will benefit from your volunteer efforts!

Join the TreeKeepers and get involved in tree planting and tree care. Together we can build a healthy forest canopy that provides a multitude of health and energy-saving benefits for everyone.

All classes and workshops are free and open to the public.

Get there by bus, bike, hike, or car! Parking is available on the street, w/limited parking on the Parks & People campus.

Take I-83 to Exit 7 Druid Hill Lake Dr.  Go past the lake, cross Swann Dr and Gwynns Falls Pkwy, past the Conservatory and make a left at the 3rd traffic light - Liberty Heights Ave.  Make a quick right into the campus. Classes are in the Stone House on the left.

No need to bring a paper ticket!
