TK-3rd Grade Traffic Cop Day-Heartland Charter School

Bring your TK-3rd grade students out to join us for a game of Traffic Cop. We will also be learning about sportsmanship and making friends. All participants will need to wear close-toed shoes and something comfortable to participate in. Parents may want to bring a folding chair to sit in and some snacks and water for their kiddos.

*Each student must have a chaperone sign up and attend. Also, please sign up all non-participating students and any other family members that plan to be there. Everyone needs a ticket!

We encourage you to turn in a sample linked to the field trip that you attended during your next learning period. It helps to ensure that we can continue to provide these opportunities.

Heartland field trips are designed for families to attend together. Students need to be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If your student will be attending with another family, please let the field trip host know once you complete your registration.

**To ensure the health and safety of all attendees, please do not attend a field trip if you, your student(s), or anyone in your household is ill or showing possible signs of illness.**

As a courtesy, if you are sick or unable to attend a field trip, please contact the teacher who planned the event to let them know so they do not wait at the venue for you.* Families who are no-shows may lose access to future field trips.*

May I pay using my funds? This field trip is free, but each student attending must have a ticket.

Does this trip have any height, weight, and or age restrictions? All ages are welcome. Students/children who are not in Tk-3rd grade will not be participating. They are welcome to watch. Everyone attending a field trip or event must be registered through Eventbrite. This applies to babies, toddlers, siblings, and adults. Individuals who have not registered will be asked to leave.

What are the check-in procedures? Meet by the playground at the west end of the park on the grassy field where the teacher will have everything set up. She will have a clipboard ready to check your student in.

Is there on-site parking available? Park around the perimeter of the park on the street.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip? Yes! Bring as much food or drink as you think your students will need during the field trip. We will take a snack break around 11 AM. They will be very active, so be sure to bring enough to hydrate.

Please do not bring food that contains peanuts to any Heartland event.

*Heartland does not provide transportation for any of our field trips.
