Girls Inc. Of West Contra Costa County's goal is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. We provide school and community based programming that serves the unique needs of girls, ages 5-18, living in West Contra Costa County. Through community partnerships, we help girls achieve their full potential, brightening their futures along the way. We’re dedicated to the advocacy of gender equity for all girls in all areas of their lives.Girls Inc. del objetivo de West Contra Costa County es inspirar a todas las chicas a ser fuertes, inteligentes y audaces. 3 million college students will be sexually assaulted this year. 1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted in college. 1 in 4 Asian or Pacific Islander women will experience some form of sexual violence. 40%-60% of Black women report coercive sexual contact by the age of 18. You are more likely to be struck by lightning than falsely accused of sexual assault. Title IX was instituted almost 5 decades ago to protect equal access to education. Over 34% of students who experience sexual assault dropout. 77% of sexual assaults go unreported.
Help us help girls everywhere by taking a stand against the administrations proposed changes to Title IX! Learn the regulations, use your voice to advocate for survivors and have some food and fun with Girls Inc. of West Contra Costa County, too!
