GOOD GIRL GONE BADDIE (EDINBURGH PREVIEW)
Come see Titi Lee's solo show before they take it across the pond to this year's esteemed Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, UK. They will be joined by special guest performances from Jamie Loftus, Ify Nwadiwe, and Sophie Santos.
ABOUT THE SHOW
Lifelong goody-two-shoes Titi Lee is breaking all the rules, and you are invited. With heartfelt humor and incisive wit, they confront their experience growing up as a first-gen Taiwanese American in the heart of Silicon Valley during the tech boom including coming out as bisexual and then non-binary to their immigrant parents, getting pandemic boobs, and renouncing their good girl ways. Good Girl Gone Baddie is an endearing take on trading in a desperate need to be good for the freedom of being yourself.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
TiTi Lee is a first generation Taiwanese American comedian from the Bay Area in California. They started doing stand-up in New York City at first as a way of getting immediate feedback on joke-writing, and unfortunately for the haters, they got just enough good feedback that they never stopped. If you paid attention, you may recognize them as Eye Doctor Nurse on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, or as Excited Woman on the latest season of Netflix’s Girls5Eva. Their standup is an unfettered approach to life’s biggest questions by way of bold jokes. As a child, they were an overachieving gifted student, and as an adult, they need to stop bringing that up. Their comedy is wholesome the way a reasonable weekend in Vegas is: it’s good for you because it’s a little bad.
