About this event

Tim Goodin is a "Son of Appalachia," he's also an independent singer/songwriter straight out of the Hills of South East Kentucky. He grew up wandering the hills and "hollers" of the Appalachian landscapes. It is here his love for music began. The old mountain hymnals he grew up listening to is what helped develop his unique style.

"Tim is known for his authentic straight shooting country sound with hints of Bluegrass and Americana."

-Jason Partin, Tim's Manager

His Debut self released EP "Son of Appalachia" Hit #11 on the iTunes Country Album Chart, #54 on the iTunes All Genres Chart and #8 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, it stayed on the iTunes Country Albums Top 200 Chart for 27 weeks. His follow up and Debut full length album, "True Stories and Flat Out Lies" hit #9 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart and #7 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart, it was produced by James Barker (steel and lead guitar player for Tyler Childers). In fact, Tim had several of The Food Stamps join him on this album, Craig Burletic (Bass), Rod Elkins (Drums), James Barker (Steel Guitar) and Jesse Wells (Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo and Electric Guitar).

With a growing community of support on his Social Media accounts, Tim really is an up-and-coming Singer/Songwriter that is poised to make some waves in the near future. He has been steadily putting together a band of Master Musicians including Anna Blanton-Fiddle (Colter Wall, Tony Logue), John Looney-Mandolin & Guitar (John R. Miller), Roddy Puckett-Bass (The Wooks, Wolfpen Branch), Sam Rogers-Drums (Sean Whiting).

Tim has seen some great success in 2022 and 2023 to date, playing several packed houses in many different areas in the Eastern US such as Alabma, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio and Arkansas. He played an 8 show run with The Steel Woods back in the Fall of '22, wrapping that up with a New Years Eve show at the Caverns in Pelham TN in front of a Sold Out crowd of 1,500 people. He has Played The Laurel Cove Music Festival '22 &'23, Festival of the Red '22 & '23. He is set to play the Healing Appalachia Music Festival this Fall in WV. Tim continues to grow his resume, as he has opened shows for Ward Davis, The Steel Woods, John Anderson, Chris Janson, Dylan Scott, and Tyler Farr. The future is bright for Tim, he's hit several milestones so far and there's plenty more to come!

Ritch Henderson hails from the poverty-stricken hills of Northern Alabama. As a child, he struggled to learn his place in a world with very limited social mobility. Torn in the discordance of the world views of his Detroit, Michigan native parents; and those in charge of his education, Henderson found solace and a means of self-expression in writing poetry, and music at a very early age. Out of high school, Ritch enlisted in the United States Marine Corps; in hopes to escape the grasps of the small Southern town that he was raised in, which has been devastated by the opioid and methamphetamine epidemic. After finding himself in Afghanistan at only 19 years old; Henderson will struggle for the better part of a decade coping with post-traumatic stress through self-medication, and searching for the solace he once found while performing in intimate clubs and venues across the Southeast, and the Midwest. Ritch is currently a full-time student at Berklee College of Music; pursuing a degree in music business and production, as well as managing a full-time touring schedule.

Securing multiple support dates on tour with Arlo McKinley (John Prine’s final signee at Oh Boy Records), 49 Winchester, Nolan Taylor, Drayton Farley, Pony Bradshaw, and John R Miller as well as performing his own headlining shows across the Southeast, and the Midwest, momentum is starting to build for Henderson In addition to his touring success; Ritch’s music was featured on the album “Just Behind The Creek” which peaked at #11 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Chart. Ritch has been elevated from the grips of generational poverty through his career in music; touring the country with his 4 piece Red Clay Rock & Roll band where he writes, and sings; raw, emotional songs about his experience with Loss, love, redemption, addiction, psychedelic substances, and the occasional deal with the devil.

From Tulsa’s legendary Mercury Lounge to the Tumbleweed Music festival and the historic Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. Ritch is building personal relationships with industry professionals and fans alike all the while continuing to hone his unique brand of Rock & Roll.

“Ritch Henderson doesn’t merely sing a song. He spews pieces of his soul into the ether with each verse”.
