Tiger Run 2017

Winfield District 34 PTO & Winfield Education Foundation

The Winfield 34 Tiger Run 2017 is a 5k fun run/walk with a 100-yard dash for kids 5 & younger.  (Note: An optional shorter route will be available for 5k walkers.)  The event will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 8am at Lions Park.  This event is open to all Winfield School District 34 staff, students and families, as well as the local community.
In order to participate, you must be in good health and physically prepared to run or walk the 5K course. A waiver of liability will be required to be signed for each participant. Skateboards, skates, bikes, etc. are prohibited on the course. Wagons and strollers are allowed in the walk wave of the 5K.
Cost:  Winfield 34 Students: Your pledges (min $20) will be your entry fee – see pledge form. All others (6 yrs & older): Entry Fee = $25 Kids Dash (5 yrs & younger): Entry = FREE
What’s Included:  All volunteers and 5K runners / walkers will receive a t-shirt (not guaranteed after 3/23) and event bag.  Kids Dash participants will not receive a t-shirt, but will receive a race prize. This year, the 5K run/walk will be timed, so you will also receive a race bib.
REGISTER BY THURSDAY, MARCH 23TH TO BE GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT. Online registration ends Tuesday 4/4. Registration on race day is available for an additional $5 fee (for 5K).
Packet Pickup (where you get your t-shirt, bib and event bag) will be at the Central School on Thursday 4/6 @ 6-8 pm (for Winfield staff & families only) and Friday 4/7 @ 4-6 pm (for all racers).  It is highly recommended to do your Packet Pickup on Thursday or Friday, to avoid long lines on the morning of the race.
Saturday 4/8 schedule: Registration & Packet Pickup = 7:15-8 am  ** We recommend doing Packet Pickup on Thu or Fri, to avoid this on race day!!!  There is no need to check in on race day if you have done your Packet Pickup ahead of time. Opening Ceremony = 8 am Kids Dash Start = 8:10am 5K Run/Walk Start = 8:30 am Closing Ceremony = 9:45 am
