🧵 Materials Required for Tie & Dye Workshop
Participants are requested to bring the following materials:
1️⃣ Dyes
- Kadam Dye Powder - Colours: Blue, Brown, Green, Yellow, Maroon, Red, Safari Brown, Olive Green, Lavender, Pink
- Natural dye materials: - Genda Phool (Marigold flowers) and Onion Skins.
2️⃣ Fixing & Supporting Agents
- Kadam Dye Fixer Solution
- Salt – 3 tablespoons
- Alum (Phitkari)
- Myrobalan Powder (Harda Powder)
- Vinegar
3️⃣ Fabric (Any One Option – 2.15 meters)
- Cotton Silk Fabric
- Light Mull Cotton
- Lightweight Cotton
⚠ Important Fabric Preparation Instruction:
Kindly soak the purchased fabric in water for 1 hour, dry it completely, iron it properly, and then bring it for the workshop.
4️⃣ Tools & Accessories
- Heat-resistant hand gloves (for dyeing)
- White quilting thread (Godhadi thread)
- Needle & thread
- Scissors
- Cellotape
- Rubber bands
- Thick plastic bag (medium size, packaging type)
5️⃣ For Texture Techniques
- Chana Dana – 100 grams
- Mustard Seeds – 100 grams
