Meet at tidepools for tidepooling and fun beach activities!

Crescent Bay Beach

Where does the beautiful sea star call home? Tidepools! And so do snails, barnacles, mussels, anemones, urchins, crustaceans, seaweed, and small fish. When the tide is high these mysterious creatures are hidden from view. When the tide is low, that’s when exploring the tidepools makes these creatures and their wonderful world visible to us.

Join Earthroots tidal experts Macy and Britta to explore the tide pools, learn about the animals who call them home, and learn about tidal zones, identification, and taxonomy. Draw and journal your experiences. End the day with sand in your shoes, salt on your skin, and a new understanding and experience of the beach! When: Tuesday, June 21 10-1pm (low tide @ 10:21 am, 0.6)Friday, July 8 10-1pm (low tide @ 10:32 am, 1.8)Where : Crescent Beach, CAWho: All ages welcomePricing: $50 per child, $45 per sibling
