About this event

Join us for our 2.5 hour Tide Pool Exploring Kayaking Tour! This is one of our most popular tour with kids and with people of any age interested in intertidal marine wildlife. We will paddle out at low tide to view a variety of marine invertebrates such as sea stars, sea cucumbers, sea anemone, nudibranch, chitons, and crab. We also usually see bald eagles, small fish, jellyfish, heron and sometimes a seal or two! Humpback whales, harbor porpoise, California Sea Lions and Orcas have also been observed in this area, but are a more rare occurrence. If joining this tour in April, May or June you will also see up to 100 bald eagles in this area so you will be getting our Bald Eagle Kayaking Tour as a bonus! Your Biologist or Naturalist Guide will teach you about the animals we encounter as we paddle to a rocky point near a bald eagle’s nest and then slowly meander the shoreline in search of wildlife.

Meet us at our kayak beach in Brinnon. Wear shoes that can get wet and dress for the outdoor weather of the day. Recommended ages - 4 yrs and up!
