Join educational arborist Sam Nelson on an autumnal walking tour through LeDroit Park to Andy's Pizza Shaw / Street to talk trees & history
TREE STORIES presents a community walking tour. Meet new folks and learn about trees in fall and DC neighborhood history with educational arborist Sam Nelson. The tour will be a mix of science, philosophy, history, and maybe a touch of comedy. We'll start at Crispus Attucks Park at 3:30 pm and then stroll through LeDroit Park to discuss special trees and stories. We'll finish at Andy's Pizza Shaw / V Street (808 V Street NW) between 5-5:30 pm. Registered participants are eligible for a special deal at Andy's: buy a beverage (beer, cocktail, house lemonade, etc) and get a free slice. Repeat as many times you'd like. So come learn about trees on a cozy fall day and meet new folks over pizza and drinks!
