Overview

A Juneteenth-inspired brunch celebrating Black entrepreneurship, culture, and community

The Oaks Bed & Breakfast is proud to partner with the Black in Business Awards to host The Legacy Brunch, an elevated Juneteenth-inspired gathering honoring Black entrepreneurship, culture, community, and legacy.

Hosted at the beautiful Oaks property in Bethesda, Maryland, this thoughtfully curated brunch experience will bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and community leaders for an afternoon centered around connection, reflection, and celebration.

As a proud 2025 Black in Business Awards winner, The Oaks is honored to help create a space that uplifts and supports the growing community of Black-owned businesses and leaders making an impact throughout Montgomery County and beyond.

The Legacy Brunch will also serve as the official kickoff for applications opening for the 2026 Black in Business Awards, welcoming the next class of businesses and visionaries building meaningful legacies through entrepreneurship and community impact.

Guests will enjoy:

  • A curated brunch experience with mimosas
  • Meaningful networking and community connection
  • Music and a culturally rich atmosphere
  • Recognition of past finalists and winners
  • The opening celebration for the 2026 awards season
  • Access to the Legacy Marketplace, a curated showcase of Black-owned wellness, lifestyle, artisan, and creative brands

Set against the backdrop of a Black-owned bed and breakfast space rooted in hospitality, gathering, and intentional community, The Legacy Brunch is an opportunity to honor how far we’ve come while investing in what comes next.

As the Black in Business Awards enters its second year, proceeds from this event will help support the production of the 2026 Black in Business Awards taking place this November, including programming, initiatives, and experiences that celebrate and elevate Black-owned businesses throughout the region.

We look forward to welcoming you to this special experience!
