From board care and feeding, to best practices, to development and fundraising – this full-day, in-person workshop offers tools to keep your board engaged, invested, and included. Attendees should plan to attend the full session.

- The importance of board leadership and why it is essential to successful fundraising

- How to orient the board to prepare them for their role in fundraising

About the Presenters
Amy Owen, consultant with Zelos, LLC and founder of AEOwen LLC, and Nicole Acosta, President & CEO of The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties, have 40+ years combined of nonprofit experience, including development, nonprofit management, board governance, grant writing, and grant making.
With a successful career dedicated to fundraising, and twelve years in leadership at one of the nation's top fundraising consulting firms, Victoria Dietz, Founder and CEO of Empower Charitable, is passionate about strong partnerships. Victoria specializes in helping her clients strategically grow overall fundraising capacity and has a track record of success with clients and volunteers to thoughtfully raise significant gifts. Joining Victoria this year is her colleague, Lisa Herzog, Principal Consultant with Empower Charitable. Lisa Herzog is a strategic advancement leader with nearly two decades of experience driving transformational philanthropic growth for world-class nonprofit institutions. Recognized for her collaborative leadership and ability to build high-performing teams, Lisa is a sought-after advisor and presenter on campaign strategy and advancement innovation.
