CFIN presents: Families on the Farm!
Join CEI’s Family Nature Club at Freetown Farm once a month.
Explore, learn, and play at Freetown Farm with the Community of Families in Nature (CFIN)!
Join other nature-loving families for monthly farm and nature adventures where kids and grown-ups explore the seasons, work in the garden, and build community together.
📍 All events take place at CEI’s Freetown Farm
🌿 What Families Experience
Each month, Families on the Farm participants engage in hands-on farm and nature activities, including:
• Seasonal gardening and farm projects
• Land stewardship and nature exploration
• Hands-on learning about the changing seasons
• Outdoor play and discovery
Most of our programming takes place outdoors, though during the coldest and hottest months we may spend some time indoors for comfort.
Once each season, yearlong members will gather early for a community potluck or picnic and enjoy extended nature play before the day’s activities.
👨👩👧 Who This Is For
CFIN gatherings are designed with kids ages 6–11 and their grown-ups in mind.
✔ Siblings are welcome
✔ Visiting grandparents/extended family are encouraged to join
✔ Families who love nature, gardening, and outdoor learning will feel right at home
📅 Program Schedule: March 15, 2026 – February 21, 2027
🗓 3rd Sunday of each month
🕐 1:00–3:00 PM
🥗 Once each season: Members gather at 12:00 PM for a potluck or picnic.
🌱 Registration Process
Purchasing tickets through Eventbrite is only the first step. All families must also complete the Families on the Farm registration form, which will be emailed to you after ticket purchase.
Your registration is complete once both the Eventbrite ticket and the registration form are submitted.
🌾 Membership Options
Families may join for the full year of programming, or participate in limited drop-in months offered throughout the year for families who want to try a gathering before committing.
