Join us at Pier 15 for an unforgettable experience sailing on a majestic tall ship. Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face as you cruise along the beautiful waterfront. We start the cruise with a complementary glass of champagne. Water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate and delicious snacks are available free of charge. A variety of craft cocktails, beer and wine is available for purchase aboard the vessel.
The premise is simple, purchase as many tickets as you and your desired guests need and come sailing aboard our 72-foot Tall Ship! She is one-of-a-kind. These events originate from Pier 15 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco.
Once we leave the docks, we will hoist the sails and guests are welcome to participate in the sailing of our traditional gaff rigged ship. As we will sail around San Francisco Bay, you will hear stories of history, wild life and key sights across the waters. Ask the skipper to take the helm and see what it is like to drive a beautiful Tall Ship like Gas Light.

Frequently asked questions
Dressing in layers is always a smart way to go. San Francisco Bay can go from warm to chilly in minutes, so bring a jacket just in case. Because yacht decks are slippery when wet and the paint can scratch easily, we request that you wear no heels or studded jeans. Rubber-soled shoes are best.
Scow Schooners were designed in the 1800’s to carry heavy cargo, like lumber and hay, so they characteristically remain level. It is very rare to experience sea sickness on our vessel. One comment we hear nearly every cruise is how flat and stable GAS LIGHT feels under sail.
Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or meal onboard. We suggest finger foods. FYI, there is not a way to heat food onboard
Unfortunately, No! We have a California liquor license and this prohibits guests from bringing their own alcohol onboard. All non-alcoholic drinks must be sealed before bringing on board. We have a full bar where drinks are available for purchase. We have complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate

Any one under the age of 13 is required to wear a life jacket per the US Coast Guard. If you are 13 or older the choice to wear a life jacket is yours. We have plenty on board and our crew is happy to help get you one if you want.
