Do you have animals at your studio? Can I bring my pet?

We have one very friendly cat named Tom who lives at the studio and Sues dog, Stue, is often present at the event. They love attention! Only service animals are allowed to attend with you.

Are my pieces Microwave/Dishwasher/Oven safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes! All the pieces you make in this class will be functional and microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. As with all ceramic oven ware you must preheat the dish before placing it into the oven.

Question 3

How soon will my pieces be ready?

Accepted Answer

5-7 weeks! We give this time range to accommodate kiln schedules. Your work will be fired as soon as possible!

Question 4

How do I pick up my work?

Accepted Answer

We will contact you when your work is finished. At this time you will be provided a locker code and may come by to pick up your pieces at anytime, similar to an Amazon locker situation. You can choose single or group pickup and pieces will be packaged together.

Question 5

Can I make something with a handle?

Accepted Answer

No pieces with handles may be made in this class due to time constraints. We also teach 7 week long classes sessions where that would be possible. See our website for more information on longer classes: www.smokestackpottery.com
