Thriving as a Single Parent

The UVU Stronger Families Project (SFP) is comprised of the collective engaged learning efforts of many different departments, programs, and internships across Utah Valley University. The SFP leverages student engaged learning experiences to help families achieve meaningful and successful lives in a mutually beneficial way. Families participate for free in weekly classes as well as personalized support during home visits to access additional resources as needed. Moreover, the SFP provides workshops focused on specific family-related issues such as finance and health as well as counseling for individuals and couples at no charge to participants. We seek to elevate the family as the fundamental source of happiness and well-being for all individuals in our community.

Single parents are faced with a daunting task. This workshop will highlight some ways single parents can thrive as the co-parent, develop social networks, explore resources to help them, and create a plan for self care.FREE Dinner provided for parents and children from 6:00-6:55 pm.FREE Workshop for parents from 7:00-8:30 pm.FREE childcare provided for children 18 months up to 12 years old during workshop.
