THRIVEFEST 2018 is a family friendly fitness challenge that will include something for everyone! During the event, you can enjoy a FUN interval-style workout at different exercise stations (suitable for all ages and fitness levels), a yoga/stretching segment, a kids activity corner with crafts and games, and a range of local vendors who focus on nutrition and fitness. All proceeds will go towards the THRIVE365 Survivorship Program, a free nutrition, fitness, and wellness program for Acadiana cancer survivors!    
THRIVE365 is a collaborative wellness program for cancer survivors in Acadiana.  OncoLogics, Miles Perret Cancer Services, HIT with HJ and Hospice of Acadiana Center for Loss and Transition have partnered to provide this program at no charge to the cancer survivor to promote overall wellness with the help of a personal trainer, consultations with a registered dietitian and individual and group support from a licensed clinical social worker.  
Participate for fun, fitness, or to support a local program and a number of local businesses.  Current vendors include Good Eats Kitchen, Geaux Run, Complete Nutrition, Modern Acupuncture, Cajun Chiropractor, Planet Nutrition, Bianca Plant of Eating God's Way, Little Gym of Lafayette, Armada Athletic Apparel, Komen of Acadiana, Cardiovascular Institute of the South, and Durel Family Dentistry.
 
8:30 AM:  Registration
9:00 AM:  Opening Ceremony
9:15 AM:  Workout Begins
10:15 AM:  Stretch and Cooldown
11:00 AM:  Closing Ceremony, Awards, and Drawings
 
FAQs
Do I have to participate in the workout or can I simply attend and support participants and survivors?
We appreciate attendance and participation at any level.  The workout will be structured with breaks, and participants can opt out at anytime.  All we ask is that everyone have fun and be encouraging to those continuing to participate in the event.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The minimum age is 2 years old.  Anyone age 7 or older can participate in the event, and we will have a kids' zone specifically for children age 2-7 which will include fitness-oriented games and other activities.
Are there prizes?
Technically, no, but everyone will be entered into a drawing for door prizes upon entry and there will also be a silent auction.  
What can I bring into the event?
All workout equipment will be provided for the event.
