About this event

  • 5 hours

Join us on Tuesday, May 7 for our 13th annual Thresholds Conference: Graceful Endings. We are excited to welcome two keynote speakers, author and death doula Alua Arthur and hospice nurse and author Hadley Vlahos, to focus on grief, family, and caregiver support. We look forward to fostering a supportive environment where attendees can take part in meaningful conversations and gain useful tools as we collectively navigate grief and caregiving.

Both keynote speakers will be joining us in person. During our lunch break, Alua Arthur will be signing copies of her book, “Briefly Perfectly Human: Making an Authentic Life by Getting Real About the End” and Hadley Vlahos will be signing copies of her book “The In-Between: Unforgettable Encounters During Life’s Final Moments.” Both books will be available to purchase at the in-person event.

This is a hybrid event and can be attended in person at Hannaford Hall in Portland or virtually from your computer. You are currently on the virtual registration page.
