Threshold Circle: A monthly gathering for compassionate conversations about aging, caregiving, grief, mortality, and living well.
Threshold Circle
A monthly gathering for openhearted conversations about aging, caregiving, grief, mortality, and what it means to live well.
Sunday August 16 | 9:00–10:30am
at Kaya Holistic
6522 N 16th Street Phoenix 85016
There are few experiences more universal than caring for someone we love, grieving a loss, growing older, or facing our own mortality—yet these are conversations our culture often avoids until we have no choice but to have them.
Threshold Circle is a welcoming community gathering where we gently pull back the curtain on these deeply human experiences. Together, we’ll create space for curiosity instead of fear, connection instead of isolation, and thoughtful conversation instead of silence.
Whether you’re currently caring for a loved one, navigating the changing health of a parent, living with loss, planning ahead, working in a helping profession, or simply longing to explore these conversations before they’re needed, you are warmly welcome.
Hosted by Cathleen Mitchell of Kaya Holistic and Maggie McVeigh of Magnolia Helps, each gathering offers a compassionate space to slow down, share stories, ask questions, listen deeply, and learn from one another.
Together we’ll explore topics such as:
- The caregiving journey—finding support while honoring both your loved one and yourself.
- Aging with dignity, curiosity, and compassion.
- Grief, loss, and the many forms they take throughout our lives.
- End-of-life planning, legacy, and creating peace of mind.
- Gentle somatic practices, mindfulness, and restorative tools to support the nervous system.
- How embracing conversations about mortality can deepen gratitude, presence, and the way we choose to live today.
There is no expectation to share. You are welcome to come with stories, questions, quiet reflection, or simply a willingness to listen. Every voice is honored, and every experience belongs.
We’ll gather in a warm, welcoming space with herbal tea and light seasonal treats as we cultivate a community where life’s most meaningful transitions can be met with compassion, wisdom, and connection.
“The conversations we avoid are often the ones that bring us closest together.”
Space is intentionally limited to nurture meaningful conversation and genuine connection.
