Designed and facilitated by Slow Stitch Detroit Visiting Artist, Doug Jones, this series will feature guest presenters:
Carole Harris, artist;
Azzah Smith, designer;
Erin Reddick, founder of ChatBlackGPT; and
Camille Ann Brewer, artist and Chief Archivist at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
This series will also include a make-and-watch movie night + discussion (more info tba).

February 26: fugitive interfaces, featuring Azzah Smith;
March 26: the elder algorithm, featuring Carole Harris; and
April 23: from punch card to neural net, featuring Erin Reddick.
this series is made possible by our generous community of makers.
We are using a sliding fee scale $5 - $80 structure, with unlimited full no-question-asked-full-scholarships available with preference to those individuals and families directly impacted by incarceration, displacement, poverty, and war.
Those who are able to pay more allow us to provide free and low-cost access to community members. Do not feel obligated to pay.
We are offering a 'bundle' deal for those who love bundle deals (all 4 workshops + the movie night: $200).
