After 15 years as a publishing consultant and book designer for multiple genres, the Third Coast Publishing Retreat is everything I've ever wanted in a publishing retreat but been unable to find. TCPR is a low-stress, small-group networking and educational event geared toward author-publishers and the experts who provide them with publishing services (editors, marketers, printers, illustrators, cover designers, typesetters, and more!).
Although I love people, I hate the stress of traveling, so I've arranged a personal driver for anyone flying in and/or out of the Corpus Christi International Airport, which is just a short 25-minute drive to the Lively Beach Resort on Mustang Island.
Lively Beach Resort has different levels of rooms for guests to choose from. View them here. Room prices for the event will range from $175 - $225 per night*, depending on which room you choose. I've toured the rooms myself, and they are great! The fridge and stove options are always a huge win when I travel.
Breakfast options, coffee/drinks, and snacks to suit all diets (gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, as well as options for those of us who want sugar, meat, dairy, and gluten) will be available every day and accessible through all hours of the conference.
One meal will be catered each day so you can get your fill of authentic Tex-Mex and just some straight up Mex!
The resort is right on the beach, and we will have beach activities, such as live music and bonfires on the beach, sandcastle-buliding classes, as well as general beach time under tents and in comfy beach chairs.
Instead of classes that one must rush off to every 45-minutes, this retreat will have attendee-led group sessions for those who want to attend. But if you're like me, you'll just relish having a relaxed environment to network in when you feel up to it. Use your time to do what you want!
