Thinking Outside the Box: Creative Interventions in Play Therapy

Have you ever felt “stuck” in the play therapy room? In this session, participants will playfully explore the 20 therapeutic powers of play. Using the therapeutic powers of play, participants will create a foundation for designing, implementing, and documenting creative interventions with their clients in the play therapy session.

Participants will be able to:

Identify the therapeutic powers of play.

Design 2-3 creative play therapy interventions/techniques.

Describe the creative play therapy interventions/techniques in a progress note.
