Theatre Memphis B.B. Awards (2023-24 Season)

It’s time to celebrate all those who sparkle and shine as volunteers for Theatre Memphis, our crown jewels, having such great support is a fairy-tale come true. You are all gems to us and we want you to relive all the special moments from the 2023-24 Theatre Memphis season at the Crown Jewels B.B. Ball, the 21st annual volunteer appreciation event sponsored by the Theatre Memphis Board of Directors. It is a time to thank and salute all those who have given of their time and talents in any way to make the previous season a success. Whether you’re a crew member, cast member, usher, director, designer, costume shop helper, scene shop worker, or help out in some other way at TM, we hope you know how much we appreciate you and hope you will attend this year’s event and share memories from past shows from our most current season.

Our theme this year focuses on our volunteers as being the “Crown Jewels” of our theatre family. So grab your fairy god-person and make a wish that your fellow volunteers will all be here ready to party. Dress comfortably to be a part of all the festivities that will include a photo booth, games and fun awards, but ball gown and princely attire is always welcomed. TOPS is catering the event with bar-b-q and we will have vegetarian options with a moat full of beverages for youth and adults to keep the party magical. There will be a Happy-Ever-After Hour @ 6pm, a coronation awards ceremony @ 6:30pm and dinner fit for royalty @ 7:30pm with lots of time afterwards to return to enjoy the special spell your volunteer experience had before the clock strikes 9pm.

The B.B. Volunteer Appreciation Event is named for two longtime TM volunteers, Betsy Reeder and Bea Miller (the 2 B's). This end-of-the-season party and award ceremony is held to honor all our hard working volunteers. So if you worked on a show or helped TM in any volunteer capacity, join us for a once upon a lifetime experience. This Crown Jewels B.B. Ball is for you with all your fellow volunteers.
