Thespians And Love and The Wonderful Life Of Mr. Silverlinning invite the reader to follow a would-be ubermensch as he navigates his fractured life. Lit City Book Club is more than just a reading group—it’s the culmination of over two decades of friendship and collaboration. Paulette and Doly met in high school trig (sorry Mr. Newcomb!) What started as a classroom connection quickly grew into a lifelong friendship filled with shared dreams, countless adventures, and a passion for building community.

Over the years, they’ve worked on several projects together, Lit City is their third business venture—and the one they are most excited about. Doly brings her sharp business acumen, while Paulette contributes her creativity, event planning and deep love of reading. Together, they’ve created Lit City to bring their shared vision to life: a vibrant literary community that uplifts diverse voices, celebrates the African Diaspora, and fosters a love for reading.

Through Lit City, Paulette and Doly are on a mission to create spaces where stories inspire action, strengthen communities, and change lives—one book at a time.
