Opera Club Presents a Concert of Classical Vocal Music with Violin and Piano


Soprano and Tenor hold a recital of opera arias, duets and romances with violin and piano

Diana Skavronskaya. Soprano, Opera Singer.

This 2024 season, soprano Diana Skavronskaya looks forward to returning to the role of Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème in San Francisco with Pocket Opera & Cinnabar Theater for nine performances in June and July. The soprano first took on this role in the 2018/19 season at Batumi State Musical Center and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

She will take the stage alongside the magnificent tenor Nicholas Huff who will take on the role of Rodolfo for the same nine productions.

Founder of the Opera Club and one of San Francisco's most captivating sopranos, Diana had an honor of singing at the Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall and Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage. Diana graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and brings to the stage extensive international experience.

Nicholas Huff. Tenor, Opera Singer.

Tenor Nicholas Huff has been hailed for his "Vocal and dramatic fearlessness” (Voix des arts) in leading roles across the country. Highlights include Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the Florida Grand Opera; the role of Mitch in Florida Grand Opera’s new production of A Streetcar Named Desire; and the role of Nemorino in Miami Lyric Opera’s production of L’elisir d’amore.

Mr. Huff has been part of several Young Artist Programs from both the Summer Residency and year-long studio at the Milwaukee Florentine Opera, and the studio at Florida Grand Opera and Sarasota Opera, to Merola Opera’s Young Artist, and Des Moines Metro Opera's Apprentice Artist programs. Nicholas is a member of the Cafritz Young Artists of Washington National Opera, a program of the John F Kennedy Center For the Performing Arts.

Nicholas Huff is cast in the role of Rodolfo from Puccini's opera La Bohème and will perform alongside soprano Diana Skavronskaya.

David Chernyavsky. Concert Violinist.

David Chernyavsky joined the San Francisco Symphony in 2009. He is a graduate of Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and the Juilliard School. David was a member of the Kennedy Center Opera orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic. He performed and recorded several CDs with the Saint Petersburg String Quartet and with the Joel Rubin Klezmer Music Ensemble, and he has released a solo CD, Klezmer Violin. He also performs and teaches with the San Francisco Academy Orchestra.

David Chernyavsky. Violin Concerto - Budapest [TCHAIKOVSKY]

David is first violin in the Davis Symphony Hall Orchestra. His virtuoso violin playing touches the deepest strings of the soul.

Kevin Korth. Concert Pianist.

As an in-demand recitalist, Kevin Korth has collaborated with such legendary artists as Isabel Leonard, Jake Heggie, Nadine Sierra and many more. Mr. Korth was praised for his "superb", "full of color and character" (Gramophone) playing. His performances have taken him to the Napa Valley Festival and Teatro di San Carlo in Naples. He is presenting his new album for the Pentatone label this fall, a recording of songs by Brahms, Mussorgsky, and Schubert with baritone Lester Lynch, to top his several albums.

Mr. Korth currently holds a position on the vocal coaching faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
