THE SUM is a new one-man theatrical work created and performed by Broadway actor Akron Watson, blending music, storytelling, humor, memory, and reflection to explore identity, ambition, faith, and the cost of becoming. Part concert, part confession, and part theatrical memoir, the piece traces one artist’s journey from Texas stages to Broadway, television, and film. This developmental reading offers audiences an early look at a new theatrical work currently in process, followed by a post-show conversation and feedback session. Runtime: Approximately 75 minutes. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Reading begins promptly at 7:00 PM. Seating is limited and registration is encouraged.
