About this event

Narrative Experience

In a room darker than anything you may have ever experienced, an unseen narrator guides audience through the miracle of the present moment, the depths of our collective loss, and a hyper-personal journey through your own cosmos.

The Narrative Experience starts at a precise time and lasts 60 minutes.

Both experiences are hyper-immersive environments with 496 channels of holographic audio and 5,000 point of volumetric light.

Every point in space occurs once at each moment of time. N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) makes that literal. Moving beyond an immersive gallery experience, the stars’ unseen narrator guides each visitor through their own individual journey of this precisely programmed installation – and the cosmos of themselves. The Stars invites viewers to become active explorers – as they discover the traces of themselves in light, the universe, and those who have been here before us.

The total capacity for each time slot is 6 people. An email address for each guest is required.

Run time: 60 minutes

Please note that this experience includes prolonged darkness and flashing lights. Guests will be asked to stand or walk for up to 30 minutes.

If you require special seating or accommodations, please let us know in advance.

Ages 12 and up.

(The Stars) is located in Building 22 on the 3rd floor (NYU Tandon) in the Brooklyn Navy yard in Downtown Brooklyn, easily accessible by the F or Q train (York St F / Dekalb Ave Q) or car (event parking available). Please enter through the Sands Street Gate at the corner of Sands Street and Navy Street.
