The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program is an educational tool for community hospital caregivers, developed to serve as a concise guideline for the pre-transport stabilization and care of sick newborns. The program is designed for the period following successful resuscitation of the newborn. All hospitals need to be prepared for a newborn who becomes sick and requires post-resuscitation stabilization and/or transport. Before arrival of the transport team, community hospital caregivers should anticipate, recognize, and effectively correct problems as they arise. The goal of all transport teams is to transport a well-stabilized infant, minimizing adverse outcomes. This goal is best achieved when stabilization is promptly and effectively initiated by hospital caregivers.INSTRUCTORSLisa Festle, MSN, RNC-NIC, APRN/CNSPatricia Hummel, PhD, APRN, NNP-BC, PNP-BCPROGRAM OUTCOMEParticipants will gain an increased understanding of how to care for critically ill newborn infants prior to transport to a tertiary care center as evidenced by passing the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program post-tests. This activity is being offered for a total of 8.0 contact hour for nursing.All speakers and the planning committee members have declared no conflict of interest. Loyola University Health System is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Ohio Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. (OBN-001-91).Criteria for successful completion and receipt of contact hours for this educational activity include: 1.	Learner’s signature on the attendance sheet2.	Learner’s attendance and participation in all activities of the program. to participate in entire activity 3.	Learner submitting a completed evaluation form at the conclusion of the educational activity:
