Spend the evening making new connections with like-minded women+ interested in giving back to our community. Our dynamic panel will feature inspirational women with diverse career and industry backgrounds. Hear the steps they’ve taken throughout their accomplished careers. Focused on women+’s empowerment, our featured panelists include:<ul><li>Dr. Chris Wachira, Wachira Wines</li></ul>Dr. Wachira is the first Kenyan-born winemaker in California and serves as a fellow at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. She obtained her nursing doctorate in health care systems leadership before founding Wachira Wines, a woman-owned winemaker, distributor, importer, and exporter. Dr. Wachira is passionate about sustainable agribusiness and minority equity and access, and uses her diversity of knowledge and experience to take a disruptive approach to industries. Wachira Wines “take Californian grapes on an African safari”. <ul><li>Kristina Lawson, Hanson Bridgett</li></ul>Kristina is Hanson Bridgett’s first female Managing Partner and Chair of the firm&#x27;s Management Committee. Known in the legal industry and beyond as a progressive and collaborative leader, Kristina has been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women in Business. In 2021, Corporate Counsel recognized her with a Women, Influence, and Power in Law – Managing Partner of the Year honor. Kristina is a proud member of the Bay Area Council’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and currently serves as the co-chair of the Bay Area Council’s Government Relations Committee.<ul><li>Naomi Evans-Jalloh, Bank of America</li></ul>Naomi began in the financial services industry in 2002 and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2017. Her focus is on customized financial strategies including education, retirement, and legacy building subsequently developing strategies and providing advice for individuals, their families, and their businesses by understanding their short- and long-term objectives. Naomi holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification and holds her series 7 &amp; 66 FINRA registrations. She currently serves as Co-Chair for Northern California LGBTQ+ Employee Network. Naomi has always lived in California and loves the hikes, weather and diversity it offers.<ul><li>Sarah Adeel, Twilio</li></ul>Sarah is a Fulbright scholar and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She founded LettuceBee Kids, Pakistan’s first sustainable model for the education and social inclusion of underserved children. Sarah also established Kiva’s largest office in Silicon Valley and helped scale the program to 45+ cities. At Twilio, Sarah is currently focusing on leveraging capital, product, and people to invest in and improve communities. Sarah is a strong believer that the future of impact is collaborative and demonstrates that by forging alliances that bridge the gap between tech companies, local communities, and the government. Sarah also loves going on hikes with her dog, Prof. Dumbledore, and bringing people together over food and dialogue. Attendees will enjoy appetizers and wine from Napa Valley’s Newton Vineyards, a winery in the LVMH Group, the world’s largest luxury goods company.
