The Palms Playhouse is your oasis for folk, blues, bluegrass, alt. country, rock, Americana, jazz, funk, and more. For over 40 years, we have hosted national touring bands, regional stars, and just plain great music in a casual, intimate setting where you are never far from the stage. The bar serves beer, wine, sodas, coffee, tea, and snacks. Formed in the Chicago area in 1975, The Special Consensus is a four-person acoustic bluegrass band with a repertoire that features traditional bluegrass standards, original compositions by band members and professional songwriters, and songs from other musical genres performed in the bluegrass format. The band has released 18 recordings and has appeared on numerous National Public Radio programs and cable television shows, including The Nashville Network and the Grand Ole Opry at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. 
Doors open at 7:30 PM. Music begins at 8:00 PM. There will be two 45-60 minute sets with a short intermission.

FAQs:
-Are children allowed? Yes, we are an all-ages venue. It's up to the parents to decide if the content is appropriate for their children.
-Are you ADA accessible? Yes, there is an elevator to the second floor, and the bathrooms are accessible. Please contact us ahead of time if you need seating accommodations.
-What's your refund policy? Please contact us before doors open; in most cases, we will be able to provide a refund of the ticket price (fees are non-refundable).
-Where can I park? Plan to arrive early to find the best parking; you should be able to find a space within four blocks of The Palms. You can either park on the street or in a nearby lot; all public parking in Winters is free.
