Step into The Space Between—a meta, multi-dimensional performance blending film, live music, and meditative ceremony, all within a sacred barn in East Calais, Vermont.
The program centers around a luminous film featuring painter and healer Jan Sandman and composer/bassist Evan Premo, each responding to the spirit of the barn through their respective mediums: Jan through abstract painting, Evan through layered bass improvisations. The film becomes a meditation on inspiration, presence, and the divine spark of creation.
What makes this experience truly unique: it unfolds live, in the very barn where the film was made. As the film plays, Jan, Evan, and filmmaker Andreas John will create music live alongside it, joined by Laurel Premo on violin and voice. Audiences will also be gently invited into guided meditation and communal sounding, making this a truly participatory act of creation.
