It’s hot, it’s sticky, the days are long, you&#x27;re in the middle of nowhere, and are smarter and more talented than all the people you&#x27;re stuck here with. This August, Firebird Players invites you to join us in Park Slope for our outdoor production of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull. Set in the Hamptons in the late 1960s, this world premiere adaptation by Firebird literary director Zoe Senese-Grossberg interrogates the play&#x27;s conception of power and gender by the actors playing Konstantin and Nina switching roles between acts 2 and 3. The second production of our inaugural season, following <a href="https://www.thefirebirdproject.org/rur-2023" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RUR</a>, this show asks the questions: who is allowed to make art, and is it ever any good?This production runs 90 minutes with no intermission and includes use of herbal cigarettes. C﻿ontent Warnings: Discussions of suicide, alcoholism, use of a gunshot sound effect. <h3>V﻿enue Information</h3>T﻿his show is performed outdoors in a private backyard in Park Slope. You are kindly invited to wear bug spray and sunscreen! The performance will not be cancelled in case of light rain, and we&#x27;ll provide you with rain ponchos. (We will pause performances in case of lightning.) Concessions, including themed cocktails, will be available at the venue in exchange for donations. For accessibility concerns, there is one four-inch step between the street level and the performance area. If you have other accessibility needs, please reach out and we will be delighted to accommodate you.
