About The Quasi Kings:
The Quasi Kings are a reggae rock band from Columbus, OH chaired by brothers Benny & Zach Coleman (formerly of nationally touring reggae act Shrub). Since its inception in 2016, TQK has quickly “cemented [their] place as the sprawling, multi-instrumental next generation of Columbus reggae” (Columbus Dispatch).
Their premier offering, 2018’s Throwaway Culture EP, features catchy hooks, tight vocal harmonies, and a unique blend of reggae, rock, and hip-hop. Their latest release, Eye of the Storm, takes things a step further with songs like “Booze”, a raucous Sabbath inspired tune, and the dubby, horn-driven “Cut It Out”, which features guitarist Kevin Oliver (Parliament Funkadelic, Bo Diddley) & Grammy nominated trumpet / trombone player Quinn Carson (Gregory Porter, Stick Figure, Jasmine Sullivan). The album’s breakout hit, “How We Livin”, features a verse from Ohio reggae rock comrades Tropidelic. The latest single, a collaboration with TN producer Mellodose, has accrued over 236,00+ streams since it's release last year.
