How long does the Prose Post run?

While timelines vary per book, we do not have a definite end date to the Prose Post. We plan to continue it as user interest and technical requirements allow.

Question 2

Can I unsubscribe from the Prose Post?

Accepted Answer

Certainly! Just find your Eventbrite registration (whether from your confirmation email or logging in) and click to cancel. You can also email Library staff at vrice@hplibrary.info for hplibrary@hplibrary.info to cancel.

Question 3

Can I make recommendations for a book?

Accepted Answer

Sure! While every suggested book will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, we have some criteria to consider. Titles must be: public domain, of literary merit, available within the Highland Park Library. This is not an exhaustive list of considerations and does not guarantee inclusion.

Question 4

What are the registration requirements?

Accepted Answer

Registrants must be 18 years of age and have a working email address. The Highland Park Library cannot guarantee that all titles have suitable content for individuals under the age of 18.

Question 5

What if I miss a post?

Accepted Answer

The Prose Post delivers emails on a weekly basis, and the email may still be in your inbox! If not, and you have just missed one or two postings, please reach out and we will attempt to resend the chapter/portion you have missed.

Question 6

I subscribed after the initial postings of a book. Can I still read the first few chapters?

Accepted Answer

While we cannot guarantee that previous text from the book can be emailed to you after a certain point, we will try to find a solution. Each book should be available in one format in our collection, allowing for readers to catch up on anything they have missed.
