Join us for a lively public discussion about the impact of attachment and relationships on emotional and physical regulation in children.

About this Event

Drawing from their own professional and personal experiences, Dr. Tina Payne Bryson and Dr. Scott LePor will share with the community the importance of healthy attachment in helping children and teens regulate their physical and emotional well-being.

This 3-hour facilitated discussion will include an opportunity for questions and answers with the community, as well as a wealth of practical take-aways to help all parents and caretakers feel empowered to nurture healthy attachment in their homes and communities.

About Our Speakers:

Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is the author of Bottom Line for Baby (due out next year) and the co-author (with Dan Siegel) of THE YES BRAIN (Random House Bantam January 2018) and THE POWER OF SHOWING UP (2020), as well as two New York Times bestsellers: THE WHOLE-BRAIN CHILD (Random House Delacorte 2011) and NO-DRAMA DISCIPLINE (Random House Bantam 2014), each of which has been translated into over thirty languages. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a  multidisciplinary  clinical practice, and of The Play Strong Institute, a center  devoted to the study, research, and practice of play therapy through a neurodevelopmental lens.

Dr. Scott LePor is a board certified family physician with training in complex developmental trauma as well as the evidence-based practice of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®), which heals the brains of children with a history of complex developmental trauma. As Medical Director of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Dr. LePor has helped lead implementation of the rehabilitative "Texas Model", which is founded in the current neuroscience field of interpersonal neurobiology through trust-based relationships and aims to help youth increase their chances of success in life while also making our communities safer.
