Topics will include:

Job searching makes it easy to get stalled, feel like you are stuck in this continuing uncertainty, that you have little control over your search
How can you create more agency and positive action in your search
How do your thoughts influence your success – awareness of what you are thinking; the stories we tell ourselves, the beliefs we have that might be holding us back
The Neuroscience of Positive Thoughts: Describe 2 different neural networks/states (in simple terms) and how they affect our thoughts and behaviors
Offer you some practices that can activate the part of our brains responsible for action, creativity, problem-solving, well-being, personal capacity
How to “Feed Your Mind” – discussion of where negative thoughts come from, how we can counter-act our natural tendency to default to the negative;
We don’t just live “above our neck” – how do we take care of our bodies as well
Share examples of how all of this can be applied to your job search
