Project Optimism's Back to School Celebration is a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting students and families as they prepare for the upcoming new school year. The event is designed to create an optimistic and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a sense of excitement, motivation, and confidence among students.

As part of our commitment to giving back, we will be providing school supplies and backpacks to children in need. This event is a wonderful opportunity to support our community and ensure that every child starts the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

Project Optimism, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization dedicated to designing and directing community programs and events that encourage optimistic mindsets in underserved Sacramento and Los Angeles County.  Our approach has been proven to inspire individuals (all ages) to become productive contributors to society.

Project Optimism achieves its mission through three programming initiatives:

 

1. Project Optimism Mentoring Sessions (POMS)- a youth mentorship program that connects secondary students of color with college students and young professionals of color.

 

2. Community Engagement- Project Optimism promotes Sacramento based events and coordinates volunteers for these occasions.

 

3. Positive Images: Events for a Cause or (P.I.)- a millennial social networking group whose members help coordinate a variety of community events to raise money for charitable causes.
