Wellity Education is hosting a unique speaking engagement with Dr. Amy Acton at the Columbus School for Girls.
Dr. Acton will share key findings from the 2023 Surgeon General’s Advisory: Our Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation and the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community. If we continue on our current trajectory, this generation may be the first in recent history to live shorter, less-healthy lives than their parents. Over 2 decades of science has revealed a root cause underlying our increasing diseases of despair, decreasing life expectancy, and growing social isolation. Yet if we chose to act now, it is well within our reach to change our trajectory and chart a new course.
With the support of Wellity Education, attendees can begin to create their own roadmap for how they can make a difference, in their own health, as well as children's wellbeing. Attendees will receive strategies to help K-12 students create connections, and strengthen belonging inside and outside the classroom.
