Shormey
Shormey is the recording project of Virginia native Shormey Adumuah.
She frequently draws inspiration from the sonic influences of 70’s disco, soul, and psychedelic music. It’s all exemplified in The Boogie Tape Vol. 1.
Staying true to the relaxed and carefree vibes of the tape, Shormey recorded the entire project within the confines of her bedroom. This tape is a testament to her desire to create music that doesn’t put any pressure on the listener to feel any one particular feeling, but to just enjoy it as an upbeat experience.

Mind Shrine
Mind Shrine is an indie rock band based in Houston, Texas. The band is led by lead vocalist Jess
Howard, rhythm guitarist Bradley DeAnda, rhythm guitarist Brian Gonzales, & drummer Richie
Alejandro. The band gained popularity in the Houston music scene with their unique blend of
indie, rock, and psychedelic music. They released their debut EP, "Mind Shrine," in 2019, which earned critical acclaim and helped them to establish a strong fanbase in the US & overseas. In 2022, the band released their latest EP, "Is It You?" The album received widespread recognition and the band has been building on its success, since its release. Mind Shrine has performed at major venues across the United States, including Rough Trade, The Mercury Lounge, & more. The band continues to tour and release new music, with their latest EP "Is It You?" being released in 2022.

1Alkebulan, FKA Alem Worldwide, is an interdisciplinary musician from Washington, D.C. Hailing from Ethiopia by way of Nîmes, France, 1Alkebulan’s eclectic vision spans many mediums, primarily through beat production and vocal performance. Reminiscent of late century collage, 1Alkebulan’s sampling style contextualizes their modality without the pontification many attribute to experimentalism. Their first album ‘Sun RZA’ (2023) delves into the grieving process as it relates to the first-generation African immigrant. 1Alkebulan has been featured in Vogue, Afropunk, Pitchfork, The Cut & Noisey for their whimsical approach to streetwear. They brought soup to the cold, ice cream to the warm, all around they’re pretty neat.
